High CPU utilization for nodes with large numbers of Windows Event Log Monitors Assigned

Overview

This article provides brief information and steps to resolve the issue when the CPU has high utilization for nodes with large numbers of Windows Event Log Monitors Assigned. 

Environment

All SAM versions

Resolution

 Switch the event log monitor fetch method from WMI to RPC on the remaining monitors. CPU loads should fall back to normal levels.
