Find the alert history in Orion

Overview

This article provides steps on how to find the alert history in Orion Platform products and the name of the alert that corresponds to that history.

Environment

All Orion Platform products

Steps

 

  1. On the Orion Platform server, click Start > Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Database Manager.
  2. Click Add Default Server, and then click Expand (+)  on the SolarWindsOrion database (database name may vary).
  3. Double-click any table.
  4. Execute the following in the Query window:
    The timestamp is in UTC and not in local time.
    SELECT * FROM AlertHistoryView order by timestamp desc
  5. The alert history should appear in the Results window.
  6. The AlertID on each row points to the name of the alert in the AlertConfigurations table. Execute the following query:
SELECT Name FROM AlertConfigurations WHERE AlertID = <AlertID from query above>
