This article overviews how to Export Web based reports in 6.1/6.1.1 (where the Import/Export button is not available).

Environment

Steps

To Export:

  1. Open Database Manager or SQL Management Studio.
  2. Connect to Orion server.
  3. Select report which you need to export. For example: SELECT definition from [dbo].[ReportDefinitions] where reportid=129.
  4. Copy text from the "definition" column, to the clipboard (Ctrl + C).
  5. Open a notepad and paste the contents into that.
  6. Save this as a .xml file, make sure to also select UTF-8 encoding.

To Import:

  1. Open the following URL (replace the host-name with your Orion server Web Console name): http://host-name/Orion/Reports/import.aspx
  2. Select the file you exported.
  3. Click Import.
