Overview

When browsing to a node and looking at the application resource, you find that you have duplicate applications assigned to the node. See the following screenshot as an example.

Environment

All SAM versions

Cause

When either assigning the template or importing results in discovery, the option was changed to allow duplicates.

Resolution

  1. In the Orion Web Console.
  2. Go to Settings > SAM Settings > Manage assigned monitors.
  3. Sort by node and find the node in question.
  4. Remove the duplicate template. See Application Discovery for more information.

Review and Start Scan
Review the summary for the scan. If the automatic discovery matches templates that are already assigned to the node, by default the template is not assigned a second time. If you want to assign duplicate templates, select Yes, Assign Anyway from the Do you want to assign duplicates list.
