Overview

This article outlines steps to create a report to return a list of managed nodes, by specific OS type.

Environment

All SAM versions

Steps

In this example, we are creating a report for Server 2012 only. From the edit resource/ Filter nodes SQL, the MachineType can be changed to return other OS versions.

  1. Go to Web Console > Settings > Manage Reports > Create New Report.
  2. Once the report has been named, add contents > Group by | inventory lists > Al Nodes.
  3. Edit the resource. For Filter Nodes (SQL), use the following example then click Submit.
    MachineType = 'Windows 2012 server'
