Overview

This article explain how to enable Bulk Asset Inventory for all nodes which Support Asset Inventory

Environment

SAM 6.2+

Steps

  1. Go to Orion Web Console > Settings. 
  2. Under Getting Started with Orion, select Discovery Central


     
  3. Click Discover my Network on the Following Page
  4. Click Add New Discovery then follow the wizard and specify the target group of nodes or specific subnet.


     
  5. Enter the Different Protocol Credentails which will allow access to nodes on this IP Range
  6. Under the Heading Monitoring Settings select Automatically monitor based on my defined monitoring settings

     
  7. Click Next until you are at Discovery Scheduling
    - Select Frequency Once
    - Confirm this Discovery to Run Now
  8.  Click Discover and Wait for this to Complete


     
  9. Try List Resources on any Node which supports Asset Inventory & Included in the Discovery Now & Confirm The Check box is Ticked
