Overview

This article provides steps to create a Self-Signed Certificate.

SolarWinds has created a PowerShell script (attached) to create a self-signed certificate suitable for AppInsight for IIS.

Environment

All SAM versions

Steps

1.  Download the PowerShell script.

2. Execute the script. Right-click and apply the following parameters:

  • IP address: Mandatory
  • Certificate lifetime in years: Optional

 

For example:
127.0.0.1 30
where 127.0.0.1 is the IP address of the node to be monitored by AppInsight for IIS and 30 is 30 years.
