Unable able grant permissions to users because users are not signed in on service with correct permissions.

All Serv-U versions

  1. Log in to your machine using Admin rights.
Note: Windows allows services to be run except for the Local System.
  2. Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services window.
  3. Open the Properties of the Serv-U FTP Server service.
  4. Change the user account in the Log On.
  5. Select This account.
Note: The account used should be an administrative account that exists on the domain (the local Administrator account does not work here. Use either the domain-wide administrative account or a named account).

For more information, see Remote Folder Access With Serv-U Running as a Service.
