Updated April 11, 2017

Overview

This article describes steps to set the Management Console password in Serv-U. By default, the Serv-U Management Console (or Administrator in Serv-U 6) can be accessed freely when logged in to the server on which Serv-U is installed. However, on some occasions it may be necessary to restrict administrative access to Serv-U even to administrators with access to the server.

Environment

Serv-U 7.x and later

Steps

  1. Open the Management Console and go to Server > Limits and Settings.
  2. Go to the Settings tab, and then click Change Admin Password in the lower left.
  3. Enter a password, and then click OK.
