This article contains information on sending Serv-U logs as syslog messages.

Serv-U v14.0 to 15.1.2
Serv-U is on a linux environment

Serv-U can only create logs in a text file format. If the server is running on  Linux platform it is possible to send the logs as syslog messages as described here:-

To send Serv-U logs to a syslog server, use the imfile module on a Linux system to pass the logs to a syslog server.

For example, modify your /etc/rsyslog.conf file using the following:

# Monitor Serv-U's files

$ModLoad imfile
$InputFileName /Full_Path_To_Serv-U_Log_File
$InputFileTag tag1:
$InputFileStateFile stat-file1
$InputFileSeverity info
$InputFileFacility local7

For more information about the imfile module, see imfile: Text File Input Module.
For information about the settings you need to define in the syslog-ng application, see syslog-ng(8) - Linux man page.
