This article provides information on using DNS4Me service in Serv-U.


All Serv-U versions


Domain Name System (DNS) translates domain names to IP addresses. 

DNS4Me is a DNS service that routinely updates the IP address mapped to your domain name whenever it changes on your machine. It lets you use dynamic IP addresses with domain names and lets you choose a subdomain. For example, 


Once you have the ability to point visitors to your computer, regardless of its current address, you can control the content you share with them. You can host your own website without paying for a hosting service.
