Show UNIX hidden files

Table of contents

Updated May 2, 2017

Overview

This article explains how to show hidden files on your UNIX or Linux server.

Environment

All Serv-U versions

Steps

Change the LIST command parameters by performing the following:

  1. Open FTP Voyager.
  2. In Site Profile Manager, select the site that you want to configure.
  3. Click Advanced > Connection.
  4. In the Extra LIST Parameter field, enter -al. This tells UNIX that you want to see all files in the long listing format. FTP Voyager will now send -al to the server for each directory listing and will display the hidden results.
