This will automatically notify users via email prior to their account password expiring.

All Serv-U versions with below supported operating system:

  • Windows Vista/7/8, Server 2008/2012
  • Windows 2000/XP, Server 2000/2003
  • Linux

Using the limit under Global/Domain Limits and Password>Limit: 'Days before considering password to be stale'.

This is the number of days before expiration that a password is to be considered stale. A stale password is a password that is about to expire. An event can
be configured to identify when a password is about to expire. This value is the lead-time, in days, before password expiration.

On the list of event, you may use 'Password stale' with the below sample configuration.

Note: You may use $UserEmailAddress so it will send to the user's email address configured on 'User Information'
