WebinarUpcoming Webinar: Know What’s Changed – with NEW Server Configuration Monitor

Change management in IT is critical. But, even with a good change management process, changes are too often not correctly tracked, if at all. The configuration of your servers and applications is a key factor in their performance, availability, and security. Many incidents can be tracked back to an authorized (and sometimes unauthorized) configuration change, whether to a system file, configuration file, or Windows® Registry entry. Join SolarWinds VP of product management Brandon Shopp to discover how the new SolarWinds® Server Configuration Monitor is designed to help you.

HTTPS 501 not implemented error when accessing the web client

Table of contents

Updated: October 23, 2017

Overview

When you access the web client, the following error displays:

501 not implemented

This could be an issue with the load balancer.

Environment

  • Serv-U MFT 15.1.5

Steps

  1. If the HTTPS ports on the server are listening, telnet to the server and check for a response.
  2. Access the web client internally direct to the MFT server. If accessible, MFT is not an issue.
  3. Access the web client internally direct to the Serv-U Gateway. If accessible, the gateway is not an issue.
  4. If the issue occurs when accessing externally, this is a network issue. Serv-U is working properly.
  5. Check your firewall or load balancer configuration.
  6. Check the SSL offloading setting on the load balancer.
  7. Check the load balancer certificate.
