Deactivate a license in Serv-U

Overview

Some users may have multiple instances of Serv-U and would like to move a license from one server to another.

Environment

Serv-U FTP and MFT version 15

Detail

  1. Go to Serv-U server and look for Serv-UID file.
  2. The Serv-UID file is normally located in C:\programdata\rhinosoft\Serv-U.
  3. Rename the file to any name to deactivate it.
  4. Or simply stop Serv-U service.
