Import and Export users to .csv

Overview

Serv-U allows administrators to import and export users directly to their server via files in the CSV (Comma-Separated Values) format.

Environment

Serv-U version 8 and up with supported operating system

  • Windows Vista/7/8, Server 2008/2012
  • Windows 2000/XP, Server 2000/2003
  • Linux

Steps

1. Go to Global/Domain Users.

2. Click Import/Export button.

Note: Make sure you have a back-up of Users folder configuration so you can revert settings if anything went wrong.

3. Select directory path where the file will be imported/exported.

4. In exporting files, there would be prompt:

 

 

Note: When re-importing files, make sure you deleted the existing files on the Global/Domain Users to avoid duplicates.
