Garbled Text in Subject of Serv-U File Sharing Email

This article describes the issue when after creating a file share request/send operation, the email generated has garbled text in the subject field.



Serv-U version 15.x



This issue occurs when [expires $FileShareExpires] variable is not encoded properly in the subject field of email part on IE browsers to gmail/yahoo client and it cannot be reproduced on demand. 


Remove the variable from the Subject to resolve this issue since you can also put  [expires $FileShareExpires] variable in the email body and is properly encoded on email body.
