Overview

This article provides steps on how to configure File sharing URL to be accessible internally and externally.

Environment

  • Serv-U version 12.x ++
  • Windows Vista/7/8, Server 2008/2012 - C:\ProgramData\RhinoSoft\Serv-U (Folder is Hidden in Windows by default)
  • Windows 2000/XP, Server 2000/2003 - C:\Program Files\RhinoSoft\Serv-U
  • Linux - /usr/local/Serv-U

Steps

  1. Go to Domain Limits & Settings > File Sharing > Domain URL.
  2. Change the URL to ex.ftp.yourdomain.com. This URL should point to your public IP.

Note: Make sure that you own the domain and the internal IP as well, which can be configured on your DNS.
