Overview

This article describes how to set the character limit on passwords for Serv-U. By default, there is no limit to the characters on passwords.

Environment

Serv-u v15.1 and later

Steps

  1. In the Serv-u console, select Limits and Settings.
  2. In the drop down for Limit Type, select Password.
  3. Double click Minimum password length to select the limit and then click Advanced for other options.

Note: After setting and saving the limitation, you will notice the following changes:

  • The bluish/grey highlighted row is the default setting
  • After editing, the new modified row will be white.
