Upgrade from Patch Manager 2.0 to 2.1

Overview

This article describes the process of upgrading from Patch Manager 2.0 to 2.1 using the Updater.

Environment

  • Patch Manager 2.0.2207.2
  • Patch Manager 2.1.0.1087

Steps

  1. ​Download and run the SolarWinds-Patch-Manager-v2.1-Updater on your Primary Application Server.
  2. Read through the EULA, select I accept the terms of the License Agreement, and then click Next.

  1. Patch Manager then runs through the prerequisites and dependencies to make sure everything is correct and access are set. If everything has a green check like the following, click Next.

  1. After Patch Manager finishes installing the update, two window pages appear.
  • The Patch Manager Web Interface window: this is a reminder about the Patch Manager Web Console and where to download the installer. Click OK to close this window.
  • A check list that everything is successful, and the changes made.
  1. Click Finish to complete the upgrade.
