Uninstall a program using the Patch Manager Computer Explorer

Overview

The Computer Explorer allows you to:

  • View information and execute tasks on remote computers directly from the Patch Manager Console
  • Execute tasks against a single target
  • Use the Task Options Wizard to extend that task to a group of managed computers.

This article describes how to uninstall a program using Computer Explorer.

Patch Manager can only uninstall software programs with an MSI extension.

Steps

  1. In the Patch Manager menu, select a computer. You can specify a group of computers later.
  2. Click Computer Explorer in the Actions pane. 
  3. Click the Installed Software tab.
  4. Select the program you want to uninstall in the list.
  5. Click Uninstall Software in the menu bar.
  6. Click Uninstall In the Uninstall Software window.
  7. On the computer selection screen of the Task Options Wizard, add the computers you want to target with the uninstall task.
  8. To specify any scheduling or notification options, click Next and complete the Scheduling and Notification Options screen.
  9. Click Finish.
