Overview

This article describes how to uninstall Malwarebytes 3 using Patch Manager.

Environment

  • All Patch Manager versions
  • Malwarebytes

Steps

You can remove Malwarebytes by:

  1. Run  MBAM-Clean.exe provided by Malwarebytes in Silent Mode.
  2. Create a separate package.
  3. Modify the random installer package.

Run the Malwarebytes utility

Run  MBAM-Clean.exe uninstaller provided by Malwarebytes in Silent Mode.

Create a separate package

  1. Create a separate package with the uninstaller using Silent Mode.
  2. Deploy MBAM-Clean.exe provided by Malwarebytes in Silent Mode.

Modify the random installer package

Modify the random installer package by using PackageBoot in Patch Manager, adding before applying package or after applying package to run MBAM-Clean.exe.

If Silent Mode is available, the software automatically replaces the old version with the new version when deploying the new package.

If Silent Mode is not available, the software runs the application on each machine, but you must manually perform the uninstall procedure.
