Unable to save new tasks in Patch Manager

Overview

When you save a new task, the task is not saved, and Patch Manager returns an exception error similar to the following:

Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\EminentWare\Tasks\b23498x9xz6g\tasks.xml'.

Environment

All Patch Manager versions

Cause

Automatic task maintenance cleans all tasks twice an hour by default.

Resolution

  1. Go to Administration and Reporting > General Settings > Clear Caches and View Layouts.
  2. Change the frequency of Automatic Task Maintenance.
