This article addresses the following error that appears when approving updates in Patch Manager:

All Patch Manager versions


This error is typically limited to one WSUS server and is likely related to a corrupt record for the WSUS in the database.  


Note: If you see this affecting multiple servers please contact Support.

  1. Expand Enterprise.
  2. Select Update Services.
  3. Highlight the WSUS server with the error.
  4. Delete the WSUS server using the Delete command in the Action bar on the right side.
  5. Select Add or Configure WSUS Server.
  6. Complete the wizard to re-add the WSUS server.
