Environment

Patch Manger Web Console versions earlier than 2.1

Cause

The browser or IIS Windows account integration settings are forcing the processing of the logged-in users AD credentials instead of the submitted user credentials. The logged-in user may not be a user in Orion and as such not permitted to log in.

Resolution

  1. Disable browser Integrated Windows Authentication:
    1. In IE, go to Tools > Internet Options.
    2. In Advanced tab, deselect the option Enable Integrated Windows Authentication.
Note: If this is set by Group Policy changing in the browser directly may have no effect.
  2. If the issue persists, attempt to log in on another browser with Integrated Windows Authentication disabled.
  3. Go to Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Configuration and Auto-Discovery > Configuration Wizard.
  4. Disable the option "Yes - Enable automatic login using Windows Authentication" in the Orion Configuration Wizard.
