Overview

When adding the WSUS server to Patch Manager, an error message appears:

Environment

Patch Manager version 2.1.0.1087

Steps

  1. Navigate to Patch Manager System Configuration > Security and User Management.
  2. Delete all stored credentials under the Credentials tab.
  3. Re-enter all credentials that were deleted.
  4. Navigate to the Credential Rings tab and double-click <default>.
  5. Specify the credentials as needed.

After doing these steps, WSUS should now successfully accomplish the test connection and will be added to Patch Manager.
