Overview

This article addresses the issue where third-party products are missing from the template list when selecting Select Updates from the Update Management Task View.

Environment

All Patch Manager versions

Cause

This view only shows Microsoft Updates to add to the templates.

Resolution

  1. Expand your WSUS server view within Patch Manager.
  2. Select all updates and verify that there is no filter.
  3. Press Ctrl and select all the Microsoft and 3rd party updates you want to include in the template.
  4. While the updates are highlighted, select New Update List Template. This will create a template containing all the MSFT and 3rd party updates you had selected.
