Third-party products are missing from the Patch Manager template update list

Overview

When you open the Update Management Task view and select Select Updates, the third-party products are missing from the template list. 

Environment

All Patch Manager versions

Cause 

This view only displays Microsoft Updates that you need to add to the templates. 

Resolution

1. Log in to Patch Manager as an administrator. 
2. Expand Enterprise > Update Services > <Your_WSUS_server > Updates and select All Updates.
3. Verify that a filter does not exist. 
4. Press Ctrl and select all Microsoft and 3rd party updates you want to include in the template.
5. While the updates are highlighted, select New Update List Template. 
   This process creates a template containing all Microsoft and third-party updates you had selected.
