Overview

The following error is displayed in the Patch Manager console:

There are no available management servers  to run the task

Environment

Patch Manager 2.1

Cause 

The Management Group is not assigned to a Management Server.

Resolution

  1. In the Patch Manager console, go to Patch Manager System Configuration > Patch Manager Servers.
  2. In the Actions Pane, select Patch Manager Server Wizard.
  3. Edit an existing Patch Manager server configuration settings and then click Next.
  4. In the drop down, select your management server that you prefer to use for the Management Group and click then Next.
  5. Select the Managed Enterprise and set the role to Primary Application if this is your primary server and Management if it is a separate server.
  6. Click Next and then click Finish.
