Show the latest version of third party packages

This article shows how to locate and show the latest version of a third party package in Patch Manager after synchronization.


All Patch Manager versions


  1. Open the Patch Manager Console and click Administration and Reporting > Software Publishing.
  2. Click Synchronization Settings in the Actions pane.
    Note: Confirm that you have selected the tick boxes next to the product(s) you are looking for under the Subscription tab.
  3. Click Synchronize and then click OK to run the process.
  4. Once the synchronization is done, refresh Software Publishing and confirm that the latest packages are shown.


To configure update services:

  1. In the tree view in the left pane of the application, select Administration and Reporting, and then select Software Publishing.

  2. Click Patch Manager Update Configuration Wizard from the Actions pane.

  3. Verify you meet the requirements listed on the first page of the wizard:

  • You can browse to from the server.
  • If you use a proxy server to access the Internet from the Patch Manager server, you have the server name, port number, and user credentials for the proxy server.
  1. Click Next.

  2. If the Patch Manager server accesses the Internet using a proxy server, enter the required information.

  3. Click Next.

  4. Click Start Connecting.

  5. After the wizard scans for the available catalogs, click Next.

  6. Select the products you want to synchronize with the Patch Manager server.

  7. Click Next.

  8. Configure the synchronization and notification preferences.

  9. Click Finish.
