Overview

This article describes how SCCM in Patch Manager 2.1 handles the installation of two consecutive third-party updates when both are available for installation. 

For example, deploying Adobe Reader 15.016.20039 and Adobe Reader 15.016.20041 at the same time.

Environment

  • Patch Manager version 2.1 
  • SCCM pushing the update through WSUS as its SUP

Detail

Updates are installed in a random and unpredictable order and the only way to control the installation order of updates is to control the availability of those updates through the approval process.
