Overview

If you are experiencing problems with your drive consuming too much space on the WSUS server, you can use the Server Cleanup Wizard to get rid of unnecessary updates based on rules. This will free up space on your disk.

Environment

  • Patch Manager version 2.1
  • All versions of WSUS

Steps

  1. Go to Enterprise > Update Services > Your WSUS server.
  2. Under the Actions Pane, select Server Cleanup Wizard. This leads to a wizard prompt that shows you to remove updates and machines based on the rules displayed.
  3. Select the rules that you prefer, and click OK.

The Task Options Wizard launches and allows you to run the task or set it to a schedule.
