Overview

Clients were moved from one WSUS to another but the reports are still showing the data from the old WSUS server.

There is a need to purge the inventory of the old WSUS to resolve the issue.

Environment

Patch Manager v2.1

Cause

Old data is not removed from the database after moving them to another WSUS.

Resolution

  1. On the Patch Manager console, go to Enterprise > Update Services.
  2. Select the older WSUS in the middle pane.
  3. In the Actions Pane, select Purge Inventory.
  4. The task will clear the database of all the WSUS Inventory information and clear up the reports.
