This article provides information about connecting Patch Manager to a computer/server and how it automatically installs the SolarWinds Client components.

All versions of Patch Manager

The Patch Manager installs Client Components whenever a connection is first established to any machine. Initially, it will use the WMI Providers if you prefer to use no agent configuration. You can also utilize the Agent, which communicates to the Patch Manager via Port 4092.
