Patch Manager initial installation error: .Net JIT

Overview

During the first installation of Patch Manager, you may encounter a .Net JIT error during the Configuration Wizard stage.

Environment

  • Patch Manager 2.1.1.2005-SR2
  • Server 2012R2

Cause 

The Configuration Wizard does not have enough permissions to run correctly. 

Resolution

  1. Close the error message.
  2. Close the Configuration Wizard.
  3. Open the Configuration Wizard > right click and select Run as administrator.
  4. Complete the Configuration Wizard as normal.
  5. The Configuration Wizard should complete without the .Net JIT error returning.
