Use the following special roles to delegate administrative tasks within the Patch Manager application:

EminentWare Computer Group Administrators

This role grants complete administrative access to Patch Manager computer groups. Users in this role can create, modify, or delete Patch Manager computer groups from within the Patch Manager Administrator Console.

WSUS Approval Delegation Administrators

This role grants administrative access to WSUS approval delegation. Users in this role can:

  • Enable or disable approval delegation for a WSUS target group
  • Grant or revoke accounts' approval privileges
  • Modify accounts' update classifications

EminentWare Security Administrators

This role grants administrative access to user and credential management functions in the Patch Manager Administrator Console. Users in this role are limited to managing credentials, credential rings, and user preferences.
