Customize the dashboard resources

If your user settings allow you to customize the dashboard resources, you can change the layout and composition of the resources in the web console. See Defining the user account settings for additional customization details. 

Based on your user account settings, you can change the layout and composition of the Patch Manager Web Console views. These changes impact all users who share the views. 

Below is an example of a resource in the Patch Manager Summary dashboard.

Customize a resource

  1. Log in to the Orion Web Console as an administrator.
  2. Set the following privileges to Yes:
    • Allow Administrator Rights
    • Allow Account to Customize Views
  3. Click My Dashboards > Patches > Patch Summary. 
  4. Click the view you want to change.
  5. Click Customize Page. 
  6. Apply your changes as listed below, and click Done.

Change the custom resource layout

  1. Click Edit next to the column definition.
  2. Select the number of columns you want in the view.
  3. Specify the width, in pixels, of each column.
  4. Click Submit. 

Delete a resource from a column

  1. Select the resource.
  2. Click [x] next to the column.

Add a resource to a column

  1. Repeat the following steps for each resource you want to add.
  2. Click [+]  next to the column you want to modify.
  3. Expand the appropriate resource category or categories.
  4. Select the resource(s) you want to add.
  5. Click Submit.

You can duplicate resources in the view.

Rearrange the resource

Use the directional arrows next to each Resources in Column box.
