Uninstall Orion components on the Patch Manager server

Overview

This article describes the software components you must remove to uninstall Patch Manager and Microsoft® SQL Server Express from a server.

 

If you are using SQL Server Express on the server for any other databases, DO NOT remove the CLR types or the SQL components.

Environment

  • All Patch Manager Web Console versions
  • SQL Server Express

Detail

Do not remove any SQL CLR types. 

 
When you uninstall Patch Manager using the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, be sure to uninstall the following components from the Control Panel to remove the Patch Manager Web Console: 
  • Solarwinds Collector 
  • Solarwinds Information Service 
  • Solarwinds Job Engine
  • Solarwinds Job Engine 
  • Solarwinds Orion Core Services 
  • Solarwinds Orion Improvement Program 
  • Solarwinds Orion Network Atlas
  • Solarwinds Patch Manager Web Console 
 

Do not proceed if your Patch Manager Eminentware Database is on a local instance of SQL Server Express.

 
If your Patch Manager database resides on another server, uninstall the following components to remove SQL Server Express:
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Management Objects
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Native Client
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Setup (English)
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Setup Support Files
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Management Objects
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Management Objects
  • Microsoft SQL Server Browser
  • Microsoft SQL Server VSS Writer
