This article lists the servers and Microsoft operating systems that support Patch Manager. 

Environment

All Patch Manager versions

Detail

Install Patch Manager on a dedicated server running a supported Microsoft® Windows® or Windows Server® 32-bit or 64-bit operating system and no additional applications.

Do not install Patch Manager on the following servers:

SolarWinds recommends installing Patch Manager and WSUS on separate servers to prevent a single point of failure and maximize application performance. In this configuration, ensure that both servers are running identical Windows Server 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems to prevent API Mismatch errors
