Slow Microsoft update downloads from the WSUS server

Overview

When your system connects to the WSUS server to download Microsoft updates, the process requires an extended amount of time. 

Environment

  • All Patch Manager versions
  • All WSUS versions

Resolution

  1. Check your system resources.
  2. Check your WAN speed.
  3. Make sure your NIC is not overworked.
