Remove unused software publishing packages

Overview

During publishing, the Patch Manager Administration Console downloads SolarWinds packages content to the local machine. This article describes how to clean up and re-claim the space on the local disk that is consumed by unused software publishing packages.

Steps

  1. Log in to Patch Manager.
  2. In the Patch Manager menu, expand Administration and Reporting and select Software Publishing.
  3. Select a package provider (such as Adobe Packages).
  4. Locate the package you want to delete in the center pane.

    If you delete all packages in a catalog, Patch Manager removes the catalog. If you delete a catalog or package but do not remove it from sync settings, the package or catalog will reappear. 

  5. Right-click the package and select Delete Content.
    The package is deleted.
