Patch Manager local account validation fails when you install or repair version 2.1.1.2005

Overview

When you install or repair Patch Manager using the Patch Manager 2.1.1.2005 SR Full With SQL installer, the following error displays:

The Local Account validation has failed...

Environment

Patch Manager 2.1.1.2005

Cause 

The validation is requiring the FQDN\Username format to validate properly, 

Workaround

  1. For the user account you wish to use, type the name as follows:
    DOMAIN.COM\USERNAME
    You must specify the FQDN of the domain for the user.
  2. Type the password for the account and click Next.

If this workaround does not resolve the issue, update Patch Manager to the latest release.
