NPM is not accessible after installing Patch Manager on an Orion server

When you install Patch Manager on an Orion server running NPM 11.0 or earlier, the NPM website is not accessible.

  • NPM 11.0 and earlier
  • Patch Manager
  • Orion Core Services 2014.1.2 or earlier

The Patch Manager installer updates the Orion Core Services to version 2015.1.3. If your Orion server is running NPM 11.0 or earlier with an earlier Orion Core Services version  (such as Orion Core Services 2014.1.2), the Orion Core Services mismatch causes the environment and website to become inaccessible.

Perform one of the following procedures:

  • Update the Orion server to a previous date from a snapshot and roll back the server.
  • Use the Upgrade Advisor to upgrade NPM and all SolarWinds Orion products on the Orion server to the latest version.
