Install updates with Update Management

This article describes how to install updates or lists of updates on your clients using Update Management.


Patch Manager 2.1.x


  1. Use the Patch Manager Publishing Wizard to publish one or more packages to a WSUS server.
  2. Expand Enterprise > Update Services > your_WSUS_server > Updates and select Third Party Updates. 
  3. In the center pane, locate and select an update.
  4. In the Actions pane, click Update Management.
  5. In the Update Management window, select the appropriate options, and click OK.
  6. In the Task Options Wizard window, select your targeted systems.
    1. Click Browse Computers.
    2. Locate and select the targeted systems or groups.
    3. Click Next.
  7. In the Scheduling Wizard, select the scheduling options, and then click Finish.
