Cannot view the Patch Manager server in the Application or Management server nodes


When you open the Patch Manager Administrator Console and expand Patch Manager System Configuration > Patch Manager Servers, you cannot view the servers listed under Application Servers or Management Server nodes.


All Patch Manager versions


EminentWare certificates are causing issues with the Patch Manager server registration.


  1. In the Patch Manager server, open a Run box and execute:
  2. Click File > Add/Remove Snap-in. 
  3. In the Add or Remove Snap-ins window under Available snap-ins, select Certificates, and then click Add.
  4. In the Certificates snap-in window, select Computer account, and click Next > Finish.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Open the Trusted Root Certificate Authorities and select Certificates.
  7. Delete the two EminentWare certificates.
  8. Open the Registry Editor.
  9. Navigate to:
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\EminentWare\Data Grid Service
  10. Delete the following:
    • DeviceID
    • CADevideID
  11. Open SQL Management Studio.
  12. Clear all records from the following tables:
    • dbo.gc_device
    • dbo.device
  13. Open your Patch Manager installation directory.
  14. Run the following command prompt as administrator by executing:
    setuphelper /provisionserver /type primary
  15. Reset your password.

You should now be able to log and view your Patch Manager servers.
