Patch Manager does not know when you add a machine to WSUS.

Enable Patch Manager to automatically provision the SolarWinds WMI Providers.

When enabled, Patch Manager automatically provisions the SolarWinds WMI Providers when you perform an inventory or configuration management task that requires the provider. If this setting is disabled and a task operation requires the provider, the operation for this task will fail to execute.

  1. Log in to the Patch Manager Administrator Console
  2. In the navigation pane, expand Patch Manager System Configuration > Management Groups and select your managed group. The default group is Managed Enterprise.
  3. In the center pane, select your WSUS server and then click the Settings tab.
  4. Right-click Automatically provision SolarWinds WMI Providers
  5. In the dialog box, select Enabled and click OK.
