Adding new credentials generates an error

Overview

When you expand Patch Manager System Configuration and select Security and User Management to add a new set of credentials, the following error displays in the console:

Value cannot be null.

Cause 

Cached details

Resolution

  1. Clear the caches in the Patch Manager MMC.
  2. Close all Patch Manager MMC instances.
  3. Open the Service Manager.
  4. Restart the Eminent Ware Data Grid Service.
  5. Launch the Patch Manager MMC using using Run As Administrator.

 

If the problem persists:

  1. Restart the Patch Manager server.
  2. Run Patch Manager Diagnostics and enable Verbose logging.
  3. Repeat the preceding procedure.
  4. Submit a ticket to SolarWinds Support with the Debug logs.
