Overview

This article describes how to increase the containers listed under the Software Publishing option in the Patch Manager GUI.

Environment

Patch Manager 2.1 and earlier

Steps

There are two methods to import catalogs and expand the categories listed under the Software Publishing option in the Patch Manager GUI. Each method requires a catalog of packages to be added. 

 

Perform the following steps to add downloaded catalogs:

  1. Open the Patch Manager MMC Console.
  2. Go to Administration and Reporting > Software Publishing.
  3. Click Software Publishing.
  4. In the right-hand pane, click Import Catalog.

 

Perform the following steps to add catalogs that were synced online:

  1. Open the Patch Manager MMC Console.
  2. Go to Administration and Reporting > Software Publishing.
  3. Click Software Publishing.
  4. In the right-hand pane, click Synchronization Settings.
  5. Click the Other Catalogs tab.
  6. Click Add Catalog.
  7. Enter your catalog details, and then click OK.
  8. Click Synchronize to prompt the sync process with the newly added catalog.
