How to display the latest third party package versions

Overview

This article describes how to synchronize your third party packages and display the latest versions in Patch Manager.

Steps

Synchronize your third party catalogs

  1. Log in to Patch Manager as an administrator.
  2. In the navigation pane, expand, Administration and Reporting and select Software Publishing.

  3. In the Actions pane, click Synchronization Settings.
  4. In the Synchronization tab, select your synchronization settings.

  5. Click the Subscription tab.
  6. Select the third party subscriptions you want to synchronize.

  7. Click OK to synchronize your third party updates based on your schedule settings or click Syncrhonize to run to the synchronization now.
  8. When the synchronization is completed, expand Administration and Reporting and select Software Publishing.

  9. In the Actions pane, click Refresh to update your third party catalogs.

Run the Patch Manager Update Configuration Wizard

  1. In the navigation pane, expand Administration and Reporting and select Software Publishing.
  2. In the Actions pane, click Patch Manager Update Configuration Wizard.
  3. Review the information in the wizard, and click Next.

    Patch Manager connects to the third party updates site and synchronizes the catalogs, vendors, and products from the site.

    This process may take several minutes.

  4. When the wizard completes the scan, click Next.
  5. Select the products you want to synchronize with the Patch Manager server, and click Next.

  6. Set up your synchronization schedule, and then click Finish.
