Export certificate files from Patch Manager

Certificate files from Patch Manager are required for deploying an offline server.


If you choose to provision a server offline, you will need the following:

  • Patch Manager CA certificate file
  • Patch Manager server certificate file
  • The Patch Manager server certificate password

It is easiest to have this information prior to installing the new server.


All Patch Manager versions


  1. On your Patch Manager server (PAS), open the Patch Manager console and navigate to Patch Manager System Configuration > Patch Manager Servers.
  2. Click Patch Manager Server Wizard in the Actions pane.
  3. Select Create a new Patch Manager Server in disconnected mode, and click Next.
  4. Enter the information of the server you are provisioning offline, and click Next.
  5. Choose where Patch Manager will save the certificates.
  6. Enter a password for the server certificate.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Choose the management group you want to associate with the new server, and click Next.
  9. Review your selections, and click Finish.
  10. Copy the certificate files to the server you are provisioning offline.

Use this information when prompted during the server configuration steps.
